Nissan Skyline GTR R34
Nissan Skyline is a legendary car. These automobile models are characterized by longitudinal placement of the engine and rear steer or four-wheel drive. In the first place Nissan Skyline is respected for its staggering driving.
For the first time Skyline model was presented in 1957. However its real history began in the middle of 1980’s with the appearance of the car body R31. Namely these cars included first RB20DE engines. There were also versions with 1.8 liter carburetor engines.
10th generation Nissan Skyline appeared in May 1998 with the strong accent on sport style and in conformity with new ecologic demands. In the GT basic model the RB20E engine was replaced by RB20DE that was used in R32 for the last time. Taking into consideration fuel economy among six cylinder Skylines of all generations, R34 GT with RB20DE engine NEO and five-speed gearbox became the best one in this category. Automatic five-speed transmission was excluded from this generation. Instead of this the car manufactures offered four-speed tiptonic transmission for all automatic versions. Altogether there were 64623 automobiles produced.
Finally in 1999 there Nissan Skyline R 34 GTR appeared with the superior road performance. The basic model was represented by GT-R with RB26DETT 2.6 liter engine and twin-turbo supercharger. It developed 332 horsepower. At the same time the fact sheet promised 380 horsepower. And it was true as after small tuning the engine could develop such power. The modification version Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R V-Spec was specially designed for drivers who appreciate surface polish. This model included ATTESA E-TS Pro system and an Active LSD at the rear. Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R V-Spec came also equipped with plastic front air diffuser, aerated brake disks, a rear carbon fiber air diffuser.
Undoubtedly speed and control make Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 one of the best-in-class automobile.
